THE AMBASSADORS STORY
Welcome to the first annual "Call to colors" presented by the
Malden Ambassadors drum and Bugle Corps.
Only 18 months ago the Malden Ambassadors Drum and Bugle corps
was born in a city rich in the tradition of drum corps competition.
Without equipment, sponsors or much experience, a handful of people
dedicated themselves to the idea that Malden should once again be
the home of a top flight drum corps.
Seventy-five kids, ages 8 to 15, signed up and the work began
to acquire horns, drums and uniforms. A goal was set to enter
field competition this summer. It meant a lot of hard work for everyone,
especially the kids, but the goal was met.
is evident by their strong showing in the Eastern Mass. Circuit
so far this year. Despite their tender years and limited experience
they placed in the money in five out of the first seven competitions. We hope you enjoy today’s show and look forward to seeing you at our
second annual "Call to Colors" next year.
